Paul Harris Fellow
The Paul Harris Fellow is a Rotary International recognition for significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation, for a cumulative donation of $1000 or more made in the individual's name, or for exemplary service to the community. Named after Rotary's founder, Paul Harris, this prestigious honor celebrates individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to service above self and Rotary's humanitarian mission. Recipients receive a certificate, a distinctive pin acknowledging their dedication to making a positive global impact.
As of 2025 the Rotary Club of Northfield has had 285 Paul Harris Fellows.
Purpose of the Award
- Fundraising: The primary purpose is to acknowledge significant financial contributions to The Rotary Foundation, which funds humanitarian projects worldwide.
- Service Recognition: It also recognizes individuals for their exceptional community service and dedication to the Rotary ideals of goodwill, peace, and understanding.
Who Can Be a Paul Harris Fellow?
- Community Members: Non-Rotarians who are recognized by a local Rotary club for their significant contributions to the community and humanitarian efforts.
- Rotarians: Members of a Rotary club who make a qualifying contribution or demonstrate outstanding service.
How to Donate
Donations to the Rotary International Foundation are made through club member dues via check or direct deposit, but they can also be made through the Rotary International Website.
